MLB | Sep 04, 2010 Detroit Tigers vs. Kansas City Royals |
Detroit Tigers -109 at JAMAICA |
Won $100 |

20* AL Saturday No-Doubt Rout on Detroit Tigers -109 I am taking the Tigers at a great price Saturday to beat the lowly Kansas City Royals. Detroit is playing with a lot of confidence right now after winning back-to-back games in extra innings. This Tigers team has a lot more talent than the Royals, especially after Kansas City traded away three of their best players in Podsednik, Guillen and Callaspo. Not only does Detroit have the better line-up, but they also have the better starting pitcher and bullpen. Rick Porcello is 2-0 with a 0.64 ERA in his last 2 starts, and he's 2-1 with a 3.77 ERA in 5 career starts vs. Kansas City. The Royals go with Bruce Chen, who is 4-3 with a 5.53 ERA at home this year and 2-1 with a 6.19 ERA in his last 3 starts. Chen has really struggled against Detroit, going 1-3 with a 7.12 ERA and 1.554 WHIP in 7 career starts versus the Tigers. Just this season alone Chen has given up 7 earned runs in 9.1 innings against Detroit. The Tigers are 7-1 in their last 8 games as a favorite. The Royals are 1-4 in Chen's last 5 starts as a home underdog. Take Detroit Saturday. |

20* Oregon State/TCU ESPN Saturday No-Brainer on Oregon State +13.5 TCU should not be this heavy of a favorite against a quality Pac-10 opponent Saturday. The Oregon State Beavers will challenge for a Pac-10 title this year with all of the talent they have returning. Eight offensive and seven defensive starters are back, including the electric Rodgers brothers. RB Jacquizz Rodgers is a Heisman Trophy candidate, rushing for 1,440 yards and 21 touchdowns last year. It was his second straight year with more than 1,250 rushing yards. WR James Rodgers does everything for this team, and he caught 91 balls for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns last year. James finished with 2,338 all-purpose yards as he also returns kicks and is a big threat to run the fly sweep. With these two on the field, the Horned Frogs will really have their hands full. Plus, the brothers are both from Texas and will be extra motivated to shine in their home state. This game will be played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas so there is no bigger stage. The Beavers are 23-9 ATS in their last 32 games overall. Bet Oregon State Saturday. |

Mississippi State -20½-110 at BETUS |

Jack's Free Pick Saturday: Mississippi State -20.5 Mississippi State is rarely this big of a favorite, but the Bulldogs are for a reason Saturday. That's because Memphis is in major rebuilding mode after a 2-10 season ago. That led to the firing of nine-year head coach Tommy West, and the hiring of first-year coach Larry Porter. The Tigers gave up 34.8 PPG last year while scoring only 21.8 PPG. The offense doesn't return any starters at quarterback, wide receiver or running back so this team is lacking playmakers. Memphis went 0-6 SU & 1-5 ATS on the road last season, getting outscored 19.3 to 40.5 on average. Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen did well in his first year on the job, bringing five wins to Mississippi State. They should have beaten LSU last year, and gave Florida all they could handle in a 19-29 loss to the Gators. The Bulldogs concluded 2009 with a huge 41-27 win over Ole Miss and I expect them to carry that momentum into their opener Saturday. Memphis is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games, while the Bulldogs are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 September games. The Bulldogs are also 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings with Memphis. Bet Mississippi State Saturday. CONSISTENT 62-44 (58%) Football Run L106 Releases! Needless to say, premium clients are raking in steady profits on the gridiron! NCAA-F | Sep 04, 2010 Army vs. Eastern Michigan |
Eastern Michigan +9½-110 at BODOG |
Won $100 |
|
15* College Football Saturday Sleeper on Eastern Michigan +9.5 I'll take the value with Eastern Michigan Saturday with a good chance to win this game outright over Army. They play Army for a second straight year at home. The Eagles lost that game by 13 points and went on to finish 0-12. Certainly this team is going to come back highly motivated this year, and they have 15 returning starters that are determined to turn this program around. They are led by QB Adam Gillett, who completed 68 of 137 passes last year for 763 yards while filling in for the injured Andy Schmitt. Their 13-point loss to Army last year and their winless season is what has created this value. After all, Army is just 3-18 ATS in their last 21 games as a favorite of more than 7 points. Also, Army is just 3-15 in their last 18 road games so they are certainly overvalued in this one. This play also falls under a system that is 28-7 (80%) since 1992. It tells us to bet on home underdogs of 3.5 to 10 points (E MICHIGAN) - terrible defense from last season - allowed 425 or more total yards/game, with an experienced QB returning as starter, in the first month of the season. Roll with Eastern Michigan Saturday. |

NCAA-F | Sep 04, 2010 Washington State Cougars vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys |
Oklahoma State Cowboys -17-110 at SPBOOK |
Won $100 |
|
15* Big Chalk Blowout on Oklahoma State -17 This is about as obvious as it gets folks. Sure, the Oklahoma State Cowboys lost some starters from last year and will be a bit inexperienced, but head coach Mike Gundy has proven he can recruit and there is certainly more than enough talent left in the cupboard for the Cowboys to crush Washington State Saturday. After all, the Cougars were 1-11 last season and lost by an average score of 12.0 to 38.5. Washington State was 0-7 SU & 3-4 ATS on the road last year, getting outscored by 30.6 PPG. Obviously this is a new year, but I cannot see them turning it around with the little talent they have on board. WSU is a notorious slow starter. The Cougars are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games in September. These teams met two years ago, with the Cowboys winning 39-13 on the road. Take Oklahoma State Saturday. |
